His Eminence Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia launches the Naqaa Net service and pays tribute to the Saudi Telecom for the role it plays in serving society

 His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and head of the Supreme Scientific Council, has launched the "Naqa Net" service introduced by Saudi Telecom to its customers, a service distinguished by providing a safe and pure Internet content for all family members. His Eminence has also paid tribute to the company for the role it plays in serving society through introducing such services that provide an Islamic content on the Internet and he pressed the importance of using such content as a means of calling people to believe in Allah. Attendants of the event included His Excellency eng. Saad bin Dhafir Al-Qahtani, vice president of Saudi Telecom for the housing sector, and Mr. Mohammed bin Suleyman Al-Farag, general manager of media affairs, in addition to several other officials in the Fatwa Department and Saudi Telecom Company.

In a press statement in this connection, His Excellency eng. Sa'ad bin Dhafir Al-Qahtani, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia for doing them the honor of launching the "Naqa Net" service, stating that this service provides a proper Islamic content exclusively offered to Afaq DSL Shamel customers that to make them enjoy safe and comfortable Internet surfing through the use of a new technology that "blocks" all the websites that are unsuitable for surfing by some family members and which violate the supreme Islamic values.

Al-Qahtani further pressed the importance of "Naqa Net" service in protecting the society from the negative features of the Internet, as this service provides a pure and comfortable Internet content that is not morally offensive to the customers and their families. The service also renders the head of the family in control of the websites that he does not want his children to surf, both inside and outside home, since it is considered to be the only service that blocks improper websites and put them under the continuous observation of a group of qualified religious men, sociologists and educationists. Moreover, it gives the customer the opportunity to automatically transfer his subscription to "Naqa Net" and off it to surf the ordinary Internet with full ease.
It is worth mentioning that all Afaq DSL Shamel customers can gain access to "Naqa Net" service by calling the customer services center on (907), through Saudi Telecom e- portal (Khadamati), www.stc.com.sa, or by sending SMS with the code 09966 to 907.
