Saudi telecom announces a 50% discount on all phone calls to the Syria on its National Day

Saudi Telecom offers a 50% discount to all subscribers wishing to call Syria on its National Day.
Starting April 17th 2008 at midnight, this exceptional promotion will last for a full 24 hours, at the cost of 1.05 SR per minute.

Commenting on this new offer, Engineer Saad Bin Dhafer Al-Qahtani, Vice President-Saudi Telecom for Home Business Unit, stated: “On the Syrian National Day, STC customers will benefit from a 50% discount on all their phone calls to Syria, with no extra charges, whether they are using Al Hatif, Al Jawwal, Sawa, Lana services or all types of prepaid cards. With its high standards international gateways, STC provides great facility for operators, whether subscribers to the company or others, to make international phone calls without inconveniences”.

“STC celebrates the National Day of Syria with Syrians living in the Kingdom, or Saudis longing to contact relatives, friends or business associates in Syria, proving once again that our company leads the way in innovative promotions and lowest costs”, added Al-Qahtani.

And for him to conclude: “Syria stands amongst many friendly nations who did, or will, benefit, from this 50% discount on their National Day, such as Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Lebanon, Oman, Turkey, the United States, Indonesia, Egypt, Philippines, Morocco, Pakistan and India”.
